Cryotherapy is an innovative treatment where the body is briefly exposed to very cold temperatures of -140 degrees celcius in order to stimulate fitness, weight loss, healing and beauty benefits.
All whole body cryotherapy sessions are conducted by a trained and certified CryoUSA technician who remains with you for the duration of your session. Inside the cryochamber you will only be wearing socks, slippers and gloves; men also wear briefs. This allows for 90% of your skin to be exposed to the hyper cool air. It is fine to leave your hair down and have on face lotion or makeup. We ask that you do not apply lotion or any moisture to your skin an hour before your session. No jewelry or metals can be worn below the neck.
Your first whole body cryotherapy appointment can take anywhere between 15-20 minutes so that we can fully educate you on the process and answer any questions you may have. After the first appointment, sessions typically take 5-7 minutes.
Ten minutes of gentle cryogenically cooled air activates collagen production in the deeper levels of the skin, increasing the skin’s capacity to rejuvenate itself, regain elasticity, appear smoother and bring forth a youthful glow to your face. You can have this treatment with your make-up on.
Cryo facial treatment is non-invasive and pain free and works through the means of Cryotherapy or “freeze therapy”.
The skin is rapidly cooled, using a beam of vaporized liquid nitrogen, to well below freezing in a matter of minutes using a revolutionary “cryo-probe’. This leads to a tightening of the micro-circulation blood stream, knows as vasoconstriction, and then dilation of blood vessels and capillaries which helps to flush toxins and impurities away from the skin.
The process works to contract the skin and accelerate micro-circulation which supports better oxygenation of dermal cells, encourages collagen production and helps to detox and rejuvenate skin.
